We saw seals, both swimming in the water and saw females waiting to give birth on the beaches around the Island. We were lucky enough to see some newly born seal pups too. Our guide knew we may see porpoises because the gannets were circling above, a sign the porpoises were chasing fish to the surface of the water. He was so right!! We were lucky to see the porpoises. We saw seals and some pups,... read more amazing rock formations, an extinct volcano and some very interesting birds. We also witnessed a rip tide which was a real spectacle.
Well worth the money
One thing to note, the trips were advertised for all ages, getting down to the boat involves lots of steep steps and getting on to the rib requires a good level of mobility. As you are required to site astride the seats you need to be able to get your leg up and over in a fairly small space.

The Ramsay trip was as fun and informative as ever and the whole experience felt Covid secure with the boat cleaned between trips and everyone temperature checked and using face coverings. The addition of the car park and shuttle facility from St David's (and Mark's unique commentary) put these guys ahead of the other local operators.

The guys on the boat (RIB) were great, attentive, chatty, it all felt safe and professional. The trip was great, a bit of speed, a bit of bouncing on waves, porpoise watching, seals and seal pups, caves. And lots of interesting info from the guys on the geology of the islands, the habbits of the porpoise and seals. All in it was a great trip that felt really good value for the price. …

An amazing trip around Ramsey, Mark was very knowledgeable as was Eirlys. We saw pods of porpoise and a variety of sea birds, all were highlighted and plenty of time to see them in their natural habitat. Unfortunately I'm not the most graceful of people and I'm sure getting on and off the rib would create anxiety for some - me included but it wasn't an issue and to be told the 'safest way to get on and off is the way feel comfortable' was a huge relief. Big thanks to all, my 10 year old stated that it was the best day ever.

You sit astride on the seats and the boat goes fast!! We went round Ramsey Island £ 28 per adult and it was great to go around this island and go into caves, see the nesting birds and seals. Obviously there’s no guarantee you will see anything! The water was beautifully clear and so also saw some jellyfish! It was a fun quick hour - enough for me as I’m not great on long boat trips!! …
