So hands up, not the first time I have reviewed Aquaphobia - but I'm a long term fan! Having had my kids grow up from toddlers to twenties on... read more family trips (with dog), this time I was with my 83 year old Dad. The Ramsay trip was as fun and informative as ever and the whole experience felt Covid secure with the boat cleaned between trips and everyone temperature checked and using face coverings. The addition of the car park and shuttle facility from St David's (and Mark's unique commentary) put these guys ahead of the other local operators.

What a great experience! Our trip around Ramsey Island had everything, speed, wildlife, caves and geological information. The guide was extremely knowledgeable. Great being able to park... read more in St Davids and having a free shuttle back and too to the boat. We saw seals, both swimming in the water and saw females waiting to give birth on the beaches around the Island. We were lucky enough to see some newly born seal pups too. Our guide knew we may see porpoises because the gannets were circling above, a sign the porpoises were chasing fish to the surface of the water. He was so right!! We were lucky to see the porpoises. A great trip, I would highly recommend.

Very knowledgeable skipper, he seems to know the waters around the island like the back of his hand. We had a great time and saw porpoises, seals and kittiwakes and learned about them and the caves and rock formations while cruising around the island (and into some caves!) - great for kids and adults alike, thank you- it was great!!

We managed to get a trip without prior booking ( probably not recommended if you want a specific day or time)
Friendly company and we could leave our car in... read more free car park and taken by mini bus to the boat.
You sit astride on the seats and the boat goes fast!!
We went round Ramsey Island £ 28 per adult and it was great to go around this island and go into caves, see the nesting birds and seals. Obviously there’s no guarantee you will see anything!
The water was beautifully clear and so also saw some jellyfish!
It was a fun quick hour - enough for me as I’m not great on long boat trips!!

This is a small family business that has been running for over 30 years. We had an incredible boat ride to Skomer Island to see the Puffins. Mark is very knowledgeable and keen to make sure you enjoy the trip. We loved the boat, exciting going over the waves and still comfortable and totally safe. Mark also took us into the Caves at Ramsey Island which was an unexpected treat! We also saw seals and Shearwaters. Fantastic trip, lovely people, also a real bonus to be taken to boat by a short minibus ride. If in doubt do it - you will not regret it!

Join us aboard
We know you’ll have a wonderful time onboard with the Aquaphobia team. You’ll enjoy the thrill of our high-speed runs over open water and learn so much about Ramsey Island and Grassholm Island, while watching the antics and acrobatics of the birds, dolphins, seals, porpoises, gannets and even a whale or two! It’s educational, yes, but it’s great fun and seeing all the wildlife at such close quarters in its natural habitat really is an unrepeatable experience that you’ll never forget.
Our Ramsey Island trips last for up to an hour and a half with seabirds and seals galore, or book the full experience with our two and half to three hour dolphin trips out to Grassholm Island where you can see the third largest colony of gannets in the UK, dolphins, porpoises and maybe even some whales.
Suitable for all family members, young and old alike, and dogs are welcome on all trips!
