TOUR ST BRIDES BAY WITH AN AMAZING BOAT
St Brides Bay (Bae Sain Ffraid in Welsh) is absolutely stunning with sandstone and mudstone cliffs and beautiful sandy beaches. The bay is around seven miles across and is a special area of conservation with Skomer Island to the south and Ramsey Island at the north end of the bay. This area is absolutely teeming with wildlife, including grey seals, dolphins, porpoises and a myriad of seabirds, including kittiwakes, cormorants, gannets, choughs, Manx shearwaters and the ever popular and entertaining puffins.
We set off from St Justinians and you’ll have two whole hours out at sea to explore the whole of St Brides Bay and see the beautiful coastal views of the land from the sea - a whole different way of looking at the local area that you can only get by boat. Take in secluded beaches, towering cliffs, rolling hills, and more. See the large tankers out at sea carrying liquids or gases across the world, from wine to oil, and imagine where they might be going.
We’re experienced sailors and highly knowledgeable about St Brides Bay and you’ll learn a great deal about the area and the local islands we sail by on our trip, including Skomer and Ramsey Island, with their amazing populations of seabirds and seals to enjoy. Make sure you bring your camera to keep those memories of a really special trip!
Our St Brides Bay trip is perfect for your whole family and makes for an educational and fun school trip, too!
Why not explore our other boat trips and book more than one? You can choose from different options, including our dolphin experience, our trips to Ramsey Island or Skomer, and our stunning evening boat trips to catch glorious sunsets and seabirds returning to their nests.
To book for you and your family, or to arrange a school trip, please give our friendly team a call or drop us an email. We’re always happy to help.

There are several boat trips around Ramsey Island but we’d recommend this one. All seem similar. High speed ridge boat, you straddle a narrow padded bench two to a seat... read more so you can hug your wife or children as the boat crashes down off a wave. It’s great fun, very safe but with the edge of being on a speed boat at sea. Crew very friendly, take you all round the island, pointing out interesting parts, driving into bays to see seals and their pups. There was a couple with very young children/toddlers but personally I would not take a child under 5/6 especially in rough seas as you do need to hold on. Great fun though.

Fantastic trip from booking with Sue to disembarking without grace - me not the boat. I'm not a great traveller so keen for the weather to be as calm as... read more possible. Sue was a great help with this thank you.
An amazing trip around Ramsey, Mark was very knowledgeable as was Eirlys. We saw pods of porpoise and a variety of sea birds, all were highlighted and plenty of time to see them in their natural habitat. Unfortunately I'm not the most graceful of people and I'm sure getting on and off the rib would create anxiety for some - me included but it wasn't an issue and to be told the 'safest way to get on and off is the way feel comfortable' was a huge relief. Big thanks to all, my 10 year old stated that it was the best day ever.

We booked our trip at the kiosk in St David's for the following day. I said I would really love to see the puffins but lovely lady in the office... read more said unfortunately they have now left the island, they disappear around mid July, but we were told there will be seals and hopefully porpoises so we signed up for the following day. They asked if we would mind sharing the boat with another family and we will all need to wear a mask due to covid, which obviously was not a problem. What a fantastic trip!! Considering the skipper (Mark) does this trip day in and day out he was absolutely amazing and really keeps the trip fresh and alive! Mark was incredibly knowledgeable and fun for children and adults alike. It was a brilliant, exciting trip - the rib gets up to a really good speed and is great fun crashing through the waves, however, we felt completely safe at all times. The seals and pups were basking on the shore and we saw the porpoises too along with many native birds especially around the caves. Would highly recommend! Mark was definitely 5 star too!

Despite a grey day the trip was amazing, we loved the rib ride and enjoyed the informative information given by our very knowledgable guide. We saw seals and some pups,... read more amazing rock formations, an extinct volcano and some very interesting birds. We also witnessed a rip tide which was a real spectacle.
Well worth the money
One thing to note, the trips were advertised for all ages, getting down to the boat involves lots of steep steps and getting on to the rib requires a good level of mobility. As you are required to site astride the seats you need to be able to get your leg up and over in a fairly small space.

We were asked if we were happy to share the boat ride with another couple/family which we agreed and was assured it would be kept safe and it was exactly that.
Everyone wore masks on the bus journey down to the boat and at all times on the boat and we could not of felt anymore safer. It was a breath of fresh air to see a company following all covid-19 regulations whilst still allowing the most amazing trip that my children and we thoroughly enjoyed.
Thank you aquaphobia for the brilliant trip, I will be recommending your trips to everyone.

Free parking at the back and a lift down on the minibus. Tour was really fun, we saw porpoise, seals and seabirds. The skipper was very friendly and knowledgeable.
